Fermanagh and Omagh District Council Grant Aid - Arts, Community, Culture and Heritage & Sport

The Council provides Grant Aid to Voluntary Clubs, Societies, Community and Sporting Organisations. To be eligible groups must be based in the Fermanagh & Omagh District Council area.  This is the 1st Call for Applications – 2023 / 2024. Applications for the following grant aid & bursary streams will close on Friday 3 March 2023 at 5pm. The following is a list of Grant Aid Streams that will open:- Community & Wellbeing, Community Premises Support, Good Relations, Irish in the Community, Remembering & Commemoration – Decade of Centenaries, Seeding, Summer Schemes 2023 – July/August, Ulster Scots in the Community, and Verti-Draining.

Armagh City, Banbridge & Craigavon Borough Council: King's Coronation

Grants are available to support the delivery of community events in Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon that will celebrate the coronation of His Majesty the King in May 2023. The grant of £200 is for one-off events for local voluntary and community groups delivering celebration events for the coronation during the period Friday 5th to Monday 8th May 2023. Deadline 3 March (Noon).

Blackburn Trust keen for more applications

The Trustees of the locally based Blackburn Trust are keen to invite more applications from registered charities in Northern Ireland. They support the family including parenting initiatives, work with women, and work with children under 12 years old. Preferring to support smaller charities, the Trust rarely makes grants of more than £1,000 and where the grant would be less than 10% of the total cost of the project.  The average amount awarded is £600 towards both capital and revenue costs. Application closing dates are 31 January, 31 May, 31 October of every year. Application forms, guidelines, and enquiries should be directed to [email protected].

Barclays Community Football Fund

Sported, partnered with Barclays, offers small grants, training, kit and exclusive ticketing offers to make football more accessible in communities across the UK. Grants of £600 and exclusive ticketing offers available for groups delivering football activities to the most under-represented groups including girls, young people from racially diverse communities, young people with disabilities, young people from the LGBTQ+ community and those from lower socio-economic groups. Previous grant awardees can also apply for their ‘Deep Impact Grants’ for up to £2000. You do not need to be a member of Sported to apply to this fund, but you will need to create an account to access the scheme's information and online application portal. Register here.

New - Benefact Trust: Community Impact Grants for the faith sector

The Trust’s Community Impact Grants Programme supports projects that will make a positive and transformative impact on lives and communities. This programme empowers Christian organisations across the UK and Ireland, who are doing incredible work tackling major issues in society. The Grants also help churches to grow their congregations and promote the Christian faith. Open to applications from churches, cathedrals, denominational bodies, Christian charities, and schools and educational institutions with a clear Christian ethos supporting direct capital and/or revenue costs including salaries. The average decision time for small grants (up to £25k) is two months. Larger grants (over £25k) take between four and six months. Rolling programme.

Design Age Institute: Transport PathFinder

If you have an inspirational, life-enhancing idea, prototype, or plan that reimagines how transport options in the UK can better support a rapidly ageing population to stay connected, active, and independent for longer, they want to hear from you! They are inviting applications for up to £120k per project. Deadline 27 February 2023 (Noon).

Mid and East Antrim’s Grants Support Scheme for 2022/23 call 2

Grants are available for qualifying groups throughout the Mid and East Antrim Council area. Grants closing include: Public Liability Insurance, Other Distinctive Projects, and Small Events. Deadline 28 February 2023 (23:59).

Shared Island Sports Club EV Charging Scheme

The Shared Island Sports Club EV Charging Scheme provides funding for the cost of installing electric vehicle charge points at sports club facilities across the island of Ireland. This Scheme is funded through the government’s Shared Island Fund and is administered by Pobal on behalf of Zero Emission Vehicle Ireland (ZEVI). Expression of Interest deadline 28 February 2023 (5pm).

The Naturesave Trust

The environmental charity funded by Naturesave Insurance considers applications for specific projects from charities, social enterprises and grassroots community organisations whose activities are based within the UK. The theme of this funding window is pollution and single use plastic. Grants range from between £500 to £5,000. Deadline 28 February 2023.

Reminder - Linking Generations NI: All Ages April Grants now open

With grants of up to £125, the All Ages April funding aims to create connections across generations and organisations that wouldn’t normally work together. LGNI’s vision is that these connections and relationships will continue into the future. Activities can be a one-off event or a project delivered over a number of sessions promoting the value of incorporating Intergenerational and Age-friendly values into everyday practice. Deadline 28 February 2023 (Noon).

Free Fundraising Clinics for NICVA Members - next available session, March 2023

These popular, free fundraising advice clinics will return February 2023 to provide members with an hour-long chance to discuss and address specific fundraising needs.  These monthly events occur on the last Tuesday of each month from 10am until 4pm. The Clinics are extremely popular and tend to book up quick.
