Coca-Cola Thank You Fund 2023 now open

The 2023 programme is offering grants of either €5,000 or €10,000 to support projects that focus on the overall theme: Empowering Young People Through Learning, Inclusion & Sustainable Development. Open to not-for-profit, voluntary or charitable organisations based and working on the island of Ireland who can show impact in one of the following three areas: Empowering young people at risk of low education attainment to access pathways to meaningful opportunities for the future, Empowering young people to challenge how they are currently engaging with the theme of sustainability in their lives through education, action and/or awareness building, and Empowering young people to engage in and promote inclusive practise in their community.

King Baudouin Foundation Community Health Fund invites UK Applications

This year, the Foundation is inviting UK applications to its Community Health Fund, which aims to address health disparities amongst vulnerable young people. Open to non-profit and NGOs for grants of between €30,000 and €50,000 (circa £26,286 to £43,800) out of a total fund of €2 million pot. Funding for new and existing projects addressing issues of mental health of young people in the 15 to 24 age range specifically the most vulnerable communities including young people displaced due to conflicts, racial and ethnic minorities, refugees and asylum seekers, those with disabilities and certain health conditions, and those who are socio-economically disadvantaged.

Clarion Futures’ Digital Grants

Funding supports Clarion residents of all ages to get online and build the skills, motivation and confidence needed to use the internet safely in everyday life. The fund offers grants of £1,000 to £5,000 for projects which address digital inclusion and also: supporting Clarion residents to discover how the internet can assist them in their everyday lives and provide them with the skills and confidence to do so. Not-for-profit organisations including constituted community groups, registered charities, companies limited by guarantee, social enterprises or Community Interest Companies (CICs) are eligible to apply to the Clarion Futures Digital Grants Programme.

Strategic Legal Fund (SLF) for migrant groups

The Strategic Legal Fund (SLF) for migrant groups in the UK is a fund to support legal work in the UK that goes beyond securing justice for an individual and makes a significant contribution to law, practice and procedures to uphold and promote the rights of people seeking asylum, refugees and migrants more generally. Not-for-profit organisations and law firms are eligible. Maximum funding for any one application will be £30,000 with an average grant award of £12,000. Deadline 22 May (5pm).

The Gallaher Trust Award supports Ballymena communities

The Gallaher Trust is an independent charity which has the objective of promoting job creation and skills development and providing support to adults in need within the wider Ballymena community. Grants range from £10,000 up to £50,000 from an annual funding pot of £300,000.

Live Here Love Here: Small Grants Scheme opening

Live Here Love Here Small Grants, funded by 10 Local Councils, Northern Ireland Housing Executive and Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful with the aim of supporting the local environment and building a sense of pride in local communities opens 11 May 2023.  Grants are available from £500 to £3,000 to volunteer and community groups, all school and third level education organisations, youth groups and sports clubs undertaking civic pride projects throughout Northern Ireland.

Open College Network NI (OCN NI): Centre Learning Grants Programme

Open College Network NI (OCN NI) plans to award a share of £85K to education, voluntary and charitable training providers locally via their Centre Learning Grants Programme. They will be awarding grants of up to £3 000 for specific projects or activities that advance the mission and vision of OCN NI in a way that provides robust evidence of how learning positively impacts on individuals, families and communities. Deadline 12 May.

Thomas Wall Trust: Grants for Registered Charities

The Thomas Wall Trust believes that communication skills are critical capabilities for people who want to improve their employment prospects, self-confidence, resilience, and life chances. The Trust offer grants up to £5,000 to specific projects or core activities that develop these critical life skills for people from disadvantaged groups. Expression of Interest deadline 15 May.

BBC Appeal Broadcasts

The BBC broadcasts charitable appeals as a public service in order to provide authoritative information and guidance about charities; raise money for good causes and encourage giving and; raise awareness about charities' work. They hope to inspire charities to share stories with listeners and viewers. Submission deadline 15 May (23:59).

NICVA's Fundraising Advice is delighted to be able to offer a wide range of FREE training sessions as part of our response to the Cost of Living Crisis throughout May and June. With a wide range of topics and a variety of trainers, you can sign up to any or all of the sessions and enhance your fundraising knowledge. One person per organisations (additional people will be added to the reserves list).
