New or Updated Funds

ESB: Wind Farm Community Fund

Administered by Groundwork NI, the ESB Wind Farm Community Fund provides grants of £1,000 to £6,000.to support community projects which clearly address current and emerging local issues, needs and opportunities, while also seeking to develop and build upon existing initiatives.

The Isla Foundation: Tipping Point Grants (Closing 12th November 2020)

Community groups and small to medium sized organisations can apply for grants of up to £40,000 for projects and activities addressing homelessness. This can include tackling the root causes, tackling re-insertion in society or developing a response to the challenges which have arisen as a result of the coronavirus crisis.

The UN Democracy Fund

UNDEF supports projects that empower civil society, promote human rights, and encourage the participation of all groups in democratic processes. Most UNDEF funding goes to local civil society organizations  The Fifteenth Round from UNDEF, which provides grants of up to US$300,000 per two-year project is now open.

The Pink Ribbon Foundation Grants

The Pink Ribbon Foundation provides grants of up to £5000 for practical projects and initiatives, which aim to help registered charities to deliver good physical and mental health to individuals with, and recovering from breast cancer.  They expect projects that receive funding to be delivered within 12 to 18 months.

Building the Community Pharmacy Partnership (BCPP) Level 2 Funding

Grants of up to £12,000 for projects lasting up to one year which promote and support local communities to work in partnership with community pharmacists to address local health and social wellbeing needs using a community development approach. NB You don’t have to complete a Level 1 project before applying for a Level 2 project.

The Ireland Funds Great Britain (IFGB) (Letter of Enquiry Closing Date 6th November 2020)

Grants of up to €/£10,000 to contribute much needed funds to organisations supporting communities across Great Britain and the island of Ireland.

Sports Hardship Fund (Closing Date (12 Noon), 5th November 2020)

Managed by Sport NI, the Department for Communities Sports Hardship Fund has reopened to help sports clubs and other organisations delivering sporting activities, who are experiencing financial hardship.  The fund initially opened on 14 April and has provided support totalling £1.245M to help over 600 sports clubs maintain facilities during the lockdown

The Cares Family: Multipler Programme (Application Deadline, 11am, 3rd November)

In partnership with UnLtd, the Cares Family charity’s new, national Multiplier programme is offering an eight-month national leadership programme and grants of up to £10,000 from UnLtd, for 10 community leaders across the UK to support, and connect people reducing loneliness and building connection in their communities.
