Youth Council Programme support funding 2009/10

The Youth Council for Northern Ireland invites applicants from eligible organisations for grant aid under the following strands:

• Strand A - Strategic Funding
  Three year funding will be available under the following headings
  1. Promoting Inclusion - Disability
  2. Promoting wider life chances for young adults

• Strand B - Supporting Youth Work Practice
  Funding is available for eligible Voluntary Organisations to develop the operational capacity of staff and volunteers within their structures. This funding will support the implementation of training programmes for youth support staff and volunteers whose primary role is to work face to face with young people. 

• Strand C - Community Relations and Cultural Diversity
  Grant aid is available to assist Regional Voluntary Youth-based Organisations to deliver new and innovative programmes, policies and/or strategies in support of this above purpose. 

In relation to Strand A, only 1 award grant will be made under each heading.

Given that a limited budget is available under Strands B and C, it may not be possible for the Council to provide funding to all eligible organisations that apply.

The closing date for applications is Wednesday 29 July 2009 at 4.00pm.
