Sandwiches and Celebs
The first event of the year for the Northern Ireland Institute of Fundraising proved a positive experience for all those who attended.
The January lunchtime seminar was “Working with Celebs” presented by David Piner from Red Cross and marked the beginning of a year of programmed events organised locally by the Institute of Fundraising.
Feedback from those who attended:
- "very useful insights and information"
- "focused and to-the-point presentation"
- "invaluable fundraising tips"
- "realistic information on the pros and cons of working with celebrities"
- "learning from direct experience – not theory
- "it was relaxed and [I was] able to ask questions, very informative, speaker excellent"
The next event of the programme “The Self Regulation of Fundraising” on 21 February 2007 is an event which will seek to raise issues which fundraisers need to be aware of in light of changing charity law legislation.
