Peace III 1.2 Acknowledging the past re-opens
The Border Action/Community Relations Council Consortium have announced a call for applications under Strand 1 of Theme 1.2 of the PEACE III Programme - 'Addressing Legacy and Truth in Public Memory'.
Strand 1: Addressing Legacy and Truth in Public Memory
The Consortium wishes to invite Expressions of Interest under Strand 1 of the Priority from organizations or consortia interested in developing and delivering peace-building and reconciliation projects which seek to implement actions that explore the legacy and memory of the conflict through truth recovery, documentation, story telling and the recording of complex history and experience.
Indicative Actions for this Strand include:
- Storytelling/Archiving
Collecting, gathering and putting on record individuals and communities experiences of the conflict in Northern Ireland and the Border Region, as well as providing a resource, accessible to the general public , which will acknowledge all perspectives on the conflict. - Television/Boradcasting
Collecting and Broadcasting a wide range of experiences examining the human, community and political legacy of violence and conflict in Ireland and the challenge of reconciliation.
It is anticipated that the consortium will support a limited number of larger scale projects of international quality across a number of identified areas of activity. The level and type of funding will be dependent on the type of organisation applying.
