Make a World of Difference with Vodafone

Vodafone UK Foundation | Mon, 29/06/2009 - 14:30 | Neil Irwin

Applications for the 2009 UK World of Difference programme are now open!

This year, World of Difference will give eight UK residents the chance to work for a charity of their choice overseas for a whole year, whilst earning a salary of up to £25,000 plus £20,000 in related expenses.

In order for your application to be considered you need to:

  • Be over 18 years of age and a resident of the UK
  • Have discussed your intention to apply for World of Difference with your chosen charity and have a plan for what you'd like achieve in your year with that charity
  • Provide contact details for your chosen charity
  • Be available for interview on Thursday 10 September if you reach the final stage.

You will be asked to answer the following questions:

  • Which organisation would you like to work with and why?
  • What skills or experience do you have that will benefit your chosen charity?
  • What position in the organisation would you hold?
  • What difference do you hope to make for your chosen organisation?

Once you've filled in the application you'll have the opportunity to review and edit it, but once your application is submitted you won't be able to amend it. So it's important to be 100% happy with your application when you fill it in online. We recommend you prepare your answers in advance, so you can paste them into the online application form whenever you're ready.

If you want to be one of the 8 people who will work abroad for a UK based charity, you have until 30th July to enter.
