Lisburn Community Festivals Fund
The Cultural and Community Unit of Lisburn City Council is now inviting applications for the Community Festivals Fund. This grants programme aims to assist constituted groups working within the Lisburn City Council area to organise their own locally based festivals.
Last year the Pilot for the Fund supported a range of festivals across Lisburn City, including sports and arts programmes, children's and family activities, and even a festival of Lego.
The Council is hosting two public workshops to facilitate organisations with information relating to the completion of applications to the Community Festivals Fund.
These will take place on Tuesday 7 April 2009 at 2.30pm Brook Activity Centre (Twinbrook) and 6.30pm at ISLAND Arts Centre (Lisburn).
To register for either workshop, please contact Lynda McCord, Arts Administration Assistant, on T: 028 92 509 509.
Application packs are available by contacting Lynda McCord, Arts Administration Assistant, ISLAND Arts Centre, on 028 92 509 509 or email lynda@island.lisburn.gov.uk
The closing date for the receipt of completed applications is Wednesday 22 April at 12 noon.
