Laganside Events Grants
The Department of Social Development (DSD) invites applications for funding from the Laganside Events Grant scheme.
The purpose of the Laganside Events Grant helps to support events that:
- play a part in the regeneration of the Laganside area,
- encourage local involvement and community and business participation and
- make the area more attractive to visitors.
There are a number of areas where events can be held in the Laganside area such as:
- Custom House Square,
- Writers Square,
- Cotton Court Piazza,
- Barrow Square,
- River Lagan and the
- Lagan Weir and Tunnel.
Eligibility
To be eligible for consideration, all proposals must show that their event is based within Laganside’s Boundary, is financially viable and attracts significant participants / spectators and positive media coverage, satisfies equality guidelines and heightens the profile of the Laganside Area.
The deadline for completed applications is Friday 9 January 2009.
- There is an information seminar on Thursday 13 November at 12.30pm in Lesley House which will provide information on the grant scheme covering all stages.
