The Department of Culture, Arts & Leisure (DCAL) invites applications for funding for events taking place from 1 October 2009 - 31 March 2010 under the following 2 funding streams

• Events Growth Fund (EGF)
• Major Events Fund (MEF)

Funding under the Events Growth Fund (EGF) aims to assist events to develop or grow into a Major and/or International event or become sustainable within 3 years of obtaining funding.

Funding under the Major Events Fund (MEF) is to assist large events that will attract significant out of state visitors and media coverage.

All events must secure private sector sponsorship to be eligible for funding.

The closing date and deadline for receipt of applications is 12 noon Friday 10 July 2009.
