Cultural Olympics Funding
The Arts Council of Northern Ireland is inviting applications for projects which will provide a cultural and sporting legacy from the London 2012 Olympics.

The areas for programmes that the Northern Ireland Advisory Group has envisaged and which have been accepted by the UK Legacy Trust are:
- Dance and Sport
- Physical Theatre / Circus and Gymnastics
- Music / Poetry and Sport
- Children's Theatre and Children's Sport
- Visual Arts / Film and Sport
- Disability Arts and Sport
Each of these six areas will have one "Programme" consisting of either a collection of closely related projects or a single project. The project or projects will clearly emphasize "excellence in achievement" and an interaction between the arts and sport in the proportion of 70% arts and 30% sports.
Each programme can be scheduled over a period of the four years 2008 - 2012 or take place within a tighter timescale between 2008 -2012.
The maximum grant available from this fund, inclusive of all administrative, programme and delivery costs is £125,000.
The lead organisation submitting the application must be an Arts Council of Northern Ireland client who has received over £20,000 in a single award from the Council's Annual Support for Organisation's programme or through any of its Lottery-funded programmes.
Applications will be assessed by Arts Council officers against the programme criteria. If further information is required the officer may contact you during the assessment process. Decisions will be announced by the end of September at the latest.
This scheme was advertised on their website on 30 May 2008.
The Application must be submitted by 4.00pm Thursday 26 June 2008.
