Call for Integrating Communities
The ‘Integrating Communities', programme of support managed by the Northern Ireland Rural Development Council (RDC) and funded by the International Fund for Ireland is again calling for applications.
The programme is designed to facilitate community organisations that wish to co-operate on a cross border and / or a cross community basis to work in partnership on issues of common interest. It is open to urban and rural groups operating both within Northern Ireland and the Border Region of Ireland.
The programme has two entry levels. The support phase entry level involves a focused programme of support, training and mentoring. Small grants of up to a maximum of £10,000 will be available per project on a joint/partnership basis to partnered organisations to implement a small project which will benefit both their communities. The closing date for receipt of applications to this phase is 10th October 2008 at 4pm.
The project phase entry level provides project grant and implementation support for partnerships that either complete the support phase or are already at a stage where a full project application can be made. The next closing date for receipt of expressions of interest for the project phase is 7th November 2008 at 4pm
