Belfast Festivals Invited to Apply
The Community Festivals Fund is now open for organisations in Belfast. It is funded jointly by Belfast City Council and the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure. Belfast City Council welcomes applications from organisations which are planning community festivals taking place between 1 July and 30 September 2009 covering activities such as exhibitions, family days, historical talks and concerts.
Grants range from £2,500 up to a maximum of £10,000. All festivals applying for funding should demonstrate their commitment to promoting social cohesion, equality of opportunity, good relations and social inclusion. Organisations must be formally constituted to apply to the Community Festivals Fund.

The deadline for all applications is 12.00 noon on Friday, 17 April 2009.
