Assembly Committee discusses dormant accounts responses
The Department of Finance Committee has held an initial discussion with officials on the responses received from the dormant accounts consultation. The issue of ethical objections to lottery funding dominated the early discussions and officials have stated that the majority of respondants identified "children and young people" as their priority areas.
The officials also set out the next steps before priorities are decided and orders issues for how the estimated £10m to £20m will be allocated in Northern Ireland. See http://www.communityni.org/grouppost/next-steps-dormant-accounts-directions.
